Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship with the life satisfaction, health behavior and benefit perceived for the aged, and to identify the effect of the Health Promotion Program for these factors. For the study, the health promotion program at a Senior Center was provided twice a week for l2weeks from March to June in 1997. With a structured questionnaire, the. 39 of subjects were interviewed before participation the program, and remained 27 from them were interviewed again after finishing their program.
the major findings are as follows;
1. The significant differences were found in the life satisfaction and benefit perceived according to the occupation of the past and to the family member of living together.
2. The significant difference was found in health behavior according to the occupaion of the past and the type of living expenses offered.
3. There was significant correlation between the life satisfaction and benefit perceived.
4. There was significant difference between the benefit perceived in before participating the program and that in after finishing the program.
